Our Products and Services

HARDY ORCHIDS Ophrys apifera

These marvels of the plant kingdom are still very rare in the horticultural trade. Now accessible to all garden enthusiasts, hardy orchids add that exotic touch to a special place in the garden.

  • more than fifty species in our catalogue
  • many of our plants have received prizes from important orchid societies
  • sold at different stages of maturity, from an in vitro seedling or young plant through to maturity, according to the species
Potted Cypripedium pubescens Cypripedium reginae in vitro Cypripedium reginae

PEONIES Bartzella

Advances in peony breeding have resulted in a new generation of peonies that are still largely unknown in the horticultural marketplace. These new varieties offer the characteristics of hardiness, vigour, stem strength and exciting new colours that were previously not available in the older varieties.

  • we have developed a technology for the efficient micropropagation (in vitro multiplication) of many new varieties (Itoh and tree type)
  • we offer our services to peony growers and breeders for contract multiplication

You may order directly from our online catalogue or download our orchids catalogue.

OUR SERVICES

We offer a wide range of services related to our expertise in plant tissue culture:

  • plant multiplication (horticultural, nutraceutical, agricultural or other)
  • research and development contracts in plant biology
  • consultation

Our Installations

OUR LABS ARE LOCATED IN CANADA (QUEBEC):
At L’Assomption (Lanaudière) :
Carrefour industriel et expérimental de Lanaudière (CIEL)

At Chicoutimi :
Carrefour de la nouvelle économie au complexe Sagamie

Our labs are fully equipped with state-of-the-art technology divided into five sections:

Lab section / Dre Caroline Constabel Media preparation
For the preparation of plant tissue culture media.

Growth room Growth room / Growth racking
For the development of in vitro plants in a strictly controlled environment (temperature and humidity controls, air filter, specific lighting and shaker for suspension cultures).

Transfer hood / Manipulation in steril environment Pressurized transfer room
This section of the lab is under positive pressure for the manipulation of plant tissue in the sterile environment of a transfer hood.

Cold rooms Cold rooms
For cold treatments necessary to fulfil the dormancy and vernalization requirements of many temperate species.

Greenhouses
These greenhouses are especially adapted for the acclimatization and growth of plants coming from the lab and for the maintenance of stock plants.
